This is sort of a test posting, but may be of interest. Castlerigg is in Cumbria, near the town of Keswick. It's about 4000 years old and is built on a low hill surrounded by higher ones and is a truly magical place. I've been there twice, in 1993 and 2005 and I think will always go there when I'm in the UK. It's strange to think of it as being there more or less as it is now throughout most of recorded history, and will still be there long after I'm gone.
Hey Tony I have always felt that these places hold some significance, but unless we learn to travel in time ! ! ! by the way , I the maxed your photo to as much as the site will allow and then went to 150% and it was still clear as a bell.
Saw something like your stone circle on a headland in Sweden south of Simrishamn, probably Sandhammaren, These chaps who did this sort of thong did get around a bit, didn't they. i think it was, at least 20 years ago, considered to tbe a ship burial. Probably bears some googling. jane
