How wonderful that Cathy Guidar has picked up Sommerled from Nigel Tranter's 'Lord of the Isles' - done months of research and written a 15000 word thesis, backed by Dorothy Cumberland proofreading for her, and no doubt adding something too from her great knowledge of things Scottish perhaps I should say pre-Scottish.
Will Cathy share some of this with us? PLEASE! Let those precious pages not just moulder away in the basement of Stirling University. I believe there was a summary Cathy, can you at least share that with us? Or would Cameron add it to 13.Members research papers? on www.nigeltranter.co.uk/ [which I find is transferring to another server so I cannot get properly into it!!]
Or is she going to publish?
There are so many possibilities here, as there could also be between Clyde's castles and their appearance in Nigel's stories. [There's a job for one of you memberswith a full collection of the sixty something books!!] Aussied pom who relies on defective libraries except for a few treasured paperback generously given by Tranter members.
