I Have almost finished reading LORD OF THE ISLES for the second time now and I have enjoyed it immensely. I have written over twenty pages of notes/queries which I followed up,, things like the coastline and areas that Nigel describes so well, he must have researched every niche and cranny. I have always had an enquiring mind and I just can't read historical novels such as Nigel's; I have to become part of the story, imagine , or picture in my mind what and where it was all happening; I have been like this since I was a wee boy in the fifties and all I had for entertainment were books.Both Cathy and Phill said I would enjoy LORD OF THE ISLES and they were right
