An extremely interesting article is found in Wikipedia concerning Beowulf, the English epic poem that, in spite of dealing primarily with Danish and Swedish events, has risen to such prominence that it has been described as "England's National Epic."
Oh Clyde! This is marvellous. i have had a paperback og beowulf for years but guiltily i have never read if, and this website you gave us shows that the English side of it relates to Sutton Hoo across the river from my childhood home [except the discovery was eclipsed bt the outbreak of WW II]. Now i must come to grips with it - soon! THANK YOU
