Northern Scotland trip

Dear all
I am touring northern Scotland for the first time at the end of this month. I.m driving to Kyle of Lochalsh, spending a couple of days in Skye then touring right up the west coast, along the north and down the east coast to Inverness. It's an area of Scotland I've always wanted to visit but know very little about. Apart from Ardveck Castle, where Montrose was betrayed, can anyone advise me as to any sights I shouldn't miss? They don't necessarily have to be historical.
Thanks
Jim Duncan, York

Hi Jim

At some point you will be passing close to Larbert. You are very welcome to drop in for a cuppa and some Tranter talk should you wish.

Kindest regards
Cameron

Cameron
it would be lovely to drop in for a chat however time is not on my side. I shall be in Inverness on the Saturday night and have to be home in York for Sunday evening. I well remember Nigel being kind enough to invite me next time I was in his area, I missed him by 10 minutes but hopefully I'll be back as I need to spend time exploring the Falkirk area.
Very best wishes
Jim
