Rab, Thanks for your comments and yes I had a wee dram or two. Whisy in Scotland is more expensive than what I pay in the USA. The USA dollar weakness is part of the problem. An example is Dalmore my wifes favourite. I buy that inthe USA for $23.00. In Scotland this works out to $46.00 at the current exchange rate.
We actually took some whisky from the USA to Scotland. My wife, her beloved Dalmore and me Finlaggan9 this malt is from Lagavulin and not available in Scotland. I pay $17.00 for it here in the USA. Fimlaggan is a private bottling and won a Gold medal.
During my visit I bought a bottle of Tormore 12 year old on special for $ 30.00 in Morrison's supermarkets and brought it back with me. I finished the bottle last weekend. I passed this distillery afew times when we were staying in Aviemore. It was built in 1958 and is an attractive building. Attached is one of my photographs.
Your photos posted Jun 5 [am a bit slow - was crook at that time. What is the partly ruined building with the horizontal curve? or did you answer that somewhere else ?- maybe i saw another title but cannot get back to it until I've sent this!
