I was looking through some of my books on Stirling Castle and found the attached on in a a booklet about the Castle by Historic Scotland. It is a view not often seen.
Hi Clyde, I will send you trhe JPEG to your e-mail. I scanned the photograph out of a book there fore I am not the original photographer. Asome where in my 35mm photographs I have other photographs of Stirling Castle and other castles. I will dig them out someday. In this past few months I have been making a small book on Barclay Castles an I have some photographs that I took inside Towie Barclay Castle. I will send them to you and you can use them if you like. It will take me a wee while to this as I am doing some temporary work at the company where mywife works. Should be finished there at the end of this month.
Super photo Andy, well worth scanning. i thought it couldn't be recent one of yours because of the autumn colours just turning. One can see why they chose that elevated place to hold youg kings or heirs safe. it must also have a wonderful view of the surrounding country, though Ialways imagined that to be dark and overtreed, maybe it was then.
