Montrose

It's nearly 20 years since I first read the young Montrose and The Captain General but  I decided  some time ago to read them again.I'm after finishing the 1st and am well into the 2nd book. And once again I'm thoroughly enjoying my read. What a story teller Nigel was.I've read most of his historical novels over the years and enjoyed every one of them.Isuppose The Bruce Trilogy which I've read 4 times is my favourite but now that I've discovered that it's so easy and so cheap to buy his novels 2nd hand from Amazon that I'm renewing old acquaintances once again.

Thanks for the welcome Rabbie. I've finished with Montrose which was very enjoyable and readable if a little depressing at the end and have just started the next novel relating to that historical period ,namely, Honours Even. It's great to have a book so interesting to look forward to each night.
Brian.
